Coldplay é uma banda que me agrada já a um certo tempo. Recentemente estava assistindo o mtv live coldplay que passou neste fim de semana na MTV, Gostei do show e voltei a escutar o som desses caras de Londres, Inglaterra, conhecidos por suas músicas melancólicas e depressivas, com letras introspectivas.
Formado em Londres, em 1996, por Chris Martin, Johnny Buckland, Guy Berryman e Will Champion, o Coldplay alcançou o sucesso logo em seu álbum de estréia. “Parachutes”, lançado em 2000, atingiu o topo das paradas britânicas e americanas e vendeu mais de 5 milhões de cópias em todo o mundo, alcançando diversos prêmios, como o Brit Awards, o New Musical Express, e um Grammy de "Melhor Álbum Alternativo". Em 2002, saiu o segundo ao álbum, "A Rush of Blood to the Head", com a crítica especializada já tendo a banda como vértice principal do rock alternativo.
